SolidGear, which was founded by experts in memory cards, has always aspired to develop a packaged media business solution based on memory cards. We are now one step closer to our ambition. (See past press releases here) We are proud to provide a 1-SEG video card business solution targeting 1-SEG mobile phone users. MicroSD is a tiny memory card measuring only 11 mm x 15 mm in size and weighing just one gram, but it is a complex combination of state-of-the-art semiconductor technologies such as flash memory and controller chips. Our unparalleled expertise in memory cards enabled us to develop this unique solution.
"Chroma SG3280", a MicroSD card writer geared for mass production and integrating our accumulated technologies and memory card expertise, is a fully automatic card writer with CPRM (Content Protection for Recordable Media) copyright protection support. This compact data writer features an automatic sorting function as well as a MicroSD card test function.
We have also developed "SG SD Video Studio", a master data authoring tool for SG3280 with text data support (in BML).
A license for this tool will be provided to the users of SG3280.
We also provide MicroSD cards at stable prices, and offer custom marking.
Please contact us for the details of our MicroSD package business solution.
The following are some examples of development projects performed by SolidGear in the past.
Development of a test system for mass production of memory cards
We developed a test system for a leading electrical manufacturer for use at their mass production plant using our host IP. So far, more than 10 million memory cards have been manufactured using this system.
We developed an SD card for a leading electrical manufacturer that can interface with the communication functions available on mobile terminals.
We developed a test board for evaluating the durability (no. of rewrite cycles), etc. of flash memory.
Porting of JFAT32
We ported JFAT32, which is our FAT32 SDK (Software Development Kit), for the DSP of a leading electrical manufacturer.
We ported JNAND, which is our flash file system for NAND flash memory, for the audio DSP of a leading electrical manufacturer.
(Note: We no longer provide JNAND.)
Please contact us for the details of our development services.
The following is the list of IPs provided by SolidGear.
